Trumpapalooza - It's a Shit-Show!

We have told you that America (trademark) is going off the rails. We have told you that the President of America is an ass-hole. We have told you that the Democracy has been purchased by the Capitalism, and when that happens you get golden elephants like Trump and Elon and Bezos and - let's face it - oil and healthcare companies - conspiring to wring out whatever public riches are left in the land.

This is the hellscape I wake up to every day. If you're a Trumper and vaguely hate black and brown people, then you don't care about any of it. If you are one of the dipshits that continues to wave his Trump flag around far after election season (which, has become sadly permanent) you permanently prove you've become a member of the republican idiocracy. Your red MAGA hat marks you a bigger douche-bag than even the rising number of vapers. You are either stupid or you worship money. And don't give me your law and order bullshit, because there is nothing law abiding or orderly about the Wile-E-Coyote style of government of this blithering, doddering dope.

LISTEN. When you hire the guy who had to hire the smart kid in his class to take his college boards for him to be the most powerful man on Earth, what you get is a Top 1% Smash and Grab of the public coffers. This is not new. Reagan was an eloquent fascist. Bush Jr. was just an idiot. But this guy takes the cake. The republicans and their hatred of government stems only from their lust for wealth and the power to get more wealth. Republicans can't have people running around saying things like, "You can't continue to pollute the Earth!" Or, "Your product causes harm to those who use it!" Or, "The healthcare system is a fucking joke!" Or, "The banking industry is out of control!" Can't have that shit. Because profit. So shut the fuck up ya little proles and be good little consumers. Fuck. If I could just have a day of normalcy. This shit-show has been invading my life every day for almost ten years. Just the other day, officers from Immigration and Customs Enforcement were chasing Latinos around and one of 'em fell off a greenhouse and died. Just another wild day of Trumpapalooza!

Goons v. Normal People

Your republican congressional representative has just passed a wacky spending bill that - never mind that it benefits the rich to an insane, dollar-killing, market-crumbling degree - funds the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency at a rate 10 times the entire Federal Prison System. That's because ICE has already run through its budget during the Spring-time raids of farm fields and colleges. ICE had been funded for 2024 to the tune of a pimple-popping $8.4 Billion. By 2029, the Vesuvian spend will be in excess of $100 Billion. To chase brown people. LOOK. As a retired police officer, I have never deprived a soul of their liberty without a warrant and without the defendant having access to the due course of law. Why? BECAUSE IT'S ILLEGAL. It is a fucking CRIME to arrest someone without cause, without warrant and without recourse to the law. Right now, your Homeland Security and ICE officers are dressing like terrorists, leaving their nameplates and identification in the glove compartments of their unmarked creeper-vans and putting on masks the way good anarchists do so that nobody can identify them on video. What in the actual fuck. As an officer myself, I would be obligated to resign from the job rather than carry out an illegal order. These officers are being ordered to break the law. I have to wonder if they're wearing ski masks to hide their shame or prevent themselves from being charged themselves or prevent themselves from being tracked back to their homes where they sleep peacefully and await another day fascist fun-n-games. Wearing kevlar to protect themselves against berry pickers who SO threaten America. Brandishing AR-15s against doctoral students in Boston. Buncha fuckin' brave guys. Alright. When you arrest a person... That is, deprive them of their liberty and freedom ... you must first attain from a court a warrant. You must explain to the court the reasonable proof that the individual has likely committed the crime you allege. With that warrant, you then have the power to limit that person's freedom. THEN, that person gets to be brought before the judge and be advised of the crimes for which he has been detained. He is to be given a copy of the warrant and affidavit of probable cause so that he understands the charges against him. He then is given a preliminary hearing date, where he can be advised by counsel and contest the charges against him. At this time, the defendant might get the charges tossed out and be free. If not, a court date is set and the subject will go on to a trial. NONE... read it ... NONE of these processes of the law are being followed by Homeland Security Investigations or Immigration and Customs Enforcement or any other of the militarized government ass-holes who are chasing people around for no good goddamned reason. And it makes me sick.

People all over the place are stepping up to stand in the paths of the para-military goons that are carrying out the racist fever dreams of the Trumpapalooza. Finding out who these "men" are. And shaming them everywhere they appear. That image at the top? That's MacArthur Park in Los Angeles. The raid was on a bunch of children enjoying their summer camp. What a bunch of heroes. Trumpapalooza is a shit-show. The men who carry it out are criminals. And those who turn their backs on injustice or permit it to happen when they have the power to stop it, are craven cowards.
